On Easter Sunday, U.S. Navy ships and SEAL units executed the rescue of Captain Richard Phillips of the Maersk-Alabama resulting in the death of three pirates and the capture of a fourth. I would like to extend my thanks to all involved.

However, I am confused about  the way Conservative talking heads attacked the President for his “lack of action to defend American lives” even going so far as to call him “President Pantywaist”. I guess they prefer a leader who blusters like a terrified schoolboy in a suit while saying “Bring it On” .

I am repulsed by is these same talking heads being on television spewing their bile about the lack of action while at the same moment  U.S. Navy Seals were risking their lives parachuting to the scene.

The President acted……well…….Presidential. He did not inflame the situation with bluster. He gave the military an objective and did not try to micromanage them. Then he stood back and let them do their jobs. He did not order them to “bomb only the southern half of bridges” like Nixon on Vietnam or invade a sovereign nation hunting for nonexistant weapons of mass destruction.

If you want to judge a president by his lack of action and the cost to American lives, then I ask what you  call a President who took no action to save over 1800 American lives on U.S. soil as New Orleans sank under Katrina’s attack. Since you loved the unresponsive Bush, Brownie and turdblossom during hurricane Katrina then I have to ask you right wing pundits what is precious to you: American lives or grubbing power and spinning the facts to your own ends?

Thanks to President Oboma for making it happen.

And shame to you who during a time of national crises, not for being a voice of dissent, but for using it in a sad attempt to further your own agenda.
