While standing in line to get their books signed, supporters of Sarah Palin were gracious enough to attempt to grunt out some answers about Palin policy, her Presidential prospects and the state of our nation under President Obama.

While many could say this was an “ambush” interview like the one with Katie Couric no one was forced to be on camera or to comment. These supporters have a general grasp of who is who, like their leader Palin, but when pressed for any specific reasons why they did or did not support an issue the common answer was “I don’t know” or a blank stare.

Why are they there?  To meet her! She is a rock star! She makes me proud to be a woman! She’s gonna get the Presidency!

They say her policies are fairness, realness and speaking out, but when asked about core issues like health care, foreign policy, and spending they resort to a big fat “duh”,  I don’t know, I’m not sure, I cant say.  In other words I do not know this person or what they stand for, but since I am not sure what I stand for and in reality know very little I can honestly support her.

From cutting spending gems like “all of it” to a really cute but stupid blond calling for a “entrepreneurial conducive environment” , I am not quite sure what these people are seeking except for Sarah.  From nuggets of knowledge like “we dont have czars in America” to the tried and true Obama “socialist and communist agenda” these people are little more than trained chimps regurgitating the bits of a language that was taught to them.

If you seek the problem with our nation today then this video should be considered the Rosetta stone.  Here you have a group of Americans that obviously have an issue with the way our government is run.  Why they have those issues they are not really clear , but they can quote the talking points verbatim.  When pressed on how they would resolve those issues there is a unanimous and overwhelming grunt of “IDunNo”.  In English that translates to I do not know.  We are left asking what is wrong with our nation?

The answer is ignorance.  Uneducated people in line to support an uneducated beauty queen.  That’s the problem with our nation today-little minds that can tell you what they want to see changed but can not tell you why or how to change it.  If they do not have any idea of exactly what they want changed, how they will change it or what the possible results of those changes may be, they are little more than monkeys grunting for more food or a change of cage.

These are the people that slipped through our education system.  What is sad is they do not even realize that they are now the poor and weak huddled masses that our Statue of Liberty seeks to protect.  They are little more than children walking in an adult world and they are scared.  They are not really sure of what is going on around them and everything seems to be just beyond understanding so they look for simple answers in simple leaders.

What these stunted members of our nation need is adults to give them a shoulder to cry on, to hug them and stroke their hair.  Someone to tell them that things will be all right and there is no Obama under the bed to snatch them away at night.

If you know one of these people then talk to them.  Inform them and ever so slowly try to educate them.  Remember, they are afraid and confused.  In all honesty they really do not know what is happening in our nation at this very moment.  Try to show them that we are not living in the end times, our nation needs to move forward to the 22nd century and not back to the 18th and that vague ideas of some obscure policy will never stand up as a future for our country.
