Tuesdays Election Wins

When I turned on C.N.N. yesterday morning I thought for a moment my fingers had slipped on the remote and I somehow ended up on Factless Nitwit News by mistake.  What with all the talk of how Republicans “ruled the night” and made a “clean sweep” I would have sworn I was on Fox news.

Well my conservative friends I have news for you.  Yes, you did win two whole Governorships.  Well we won two Congressional seats.  How do you think that balances out?  A win, a lose or a draw?

First, the so called news networks and your own party are trumpeting your clean sweep of the top three state positions in Virginia.  Let me say I am happy that you won seats that NO ONE expected the Democrat to win in the first place.  Game well played.  The victory everyone knew was yours to begin with is yours.  You must be ever so proud.

Second, is the great victory you achieved by electing a Republican Governor in the state of New Jersey.  In a close race you managed to unseat a Democratic Gov. by a slim margin.  Many of us Dems however refused to support him because he hasn’t been a really good governor and has close ties to Wall Street.   Now you have a man in place that can make national policy and deal with foreign countries…. no wait… he can only run New Jersey!  Where is your great victory there?

When it comes to deciding where our country is going and how we are going to get there it is not governors or Lt. governors or state attorney generals that make the decisions.  The people that shape the future of the nation are the members of the Senate and the Congress.

There were two Congressional races on Tuesday.  They were the New York 23rd and the California 10th congressional districts.  Now wait a second…. who won those?  It seems to be that Democrats took both of those congressional seats.  Democrats won on the national level.  In one race it was a major upset!  So whose vision are we following?

Banging you head against a wall would give you more information on where we are going politically than Tuesday's election did.
