You poor little things.  I feel so sorry for you …….that is I will, maybe, when your corporations get their grubby paws out of my wallet.  But, no, I don’t think so even then.

Five senior executives of AIG have threatened to resign.  They turned in letters on December 1 stating they were prepared to leave by year end if their compensation was cut significantly.

Two of the executives changed their minds over last weekend.  Could it be they noticed that job market out there wasn’t quite what they were expecting?  Not easy to get those million dollar plus salaries now, is it?  Especially when you were the drivers of the economy bus as it was going over the cliff.

Honestly, these guys remind me of the spoiled kids you see in stores, throwing tantrums because they aren’t getting their way and threatening to hold their breath until they turn blue if they aren’t immediately gratified with their wishes.  They are perfect poster material for retroactive birth control.

These people just go beyond the pale.  I have no idea what world they live in, but it has no relationship to the one most of us inhabit.

AIG, which was propped up by the government with some $180 billion in taxpayer funds, has been sparring with the Obama administration’s pay czar, Kenneth Feinberg, over executive compensation.

Even Chief Executive Robert Benmosche reportedly threatened to quit last month, in part because he did not have discretion over pay packages for top executives.

Feinberg has cut average compensation for the 25 best-paid employees at companies that received multiple bailouts and is setting guidelines for pay for the next 75.

For AIG in particular, Feinberg has vowed to limit bonuses at the company’s financial products unit, whose massive payouts earlier this year sparked huge outrage.
