Democratic Senator Al Franken of Minnesota is proving to be everything  the liberals and progressives hoped he would be.  Every time Franken stands up to speak in the Senate, you can hear the Republican Senators scuttling for cover.

The junior Senator calls the Republicans on their lies with a simple dose of truth and he does it in a fashion that makes it very hard for them to respond.  When they do respond they make fools of themselves and play right into Al Frankens hands.

It is beautiful to watch Senator Franken work.  He has done his homework on the issue at hand and kills the opposition with facts.  I wish we had more of him in the Senate.
