Scott Walker, Wisconsin citizens are just about to catch up with you. Where will you go then, Disney Land?
Scott Walker is the tea bagger Republican governor of Wisconsin and he is involved in an on-going FBI investigation into political corruption. He has been embroiled in the FBI case for over a year.
When you learn about this case and its origins a whole new light is put on many of the statements and actions since Scott Walker assumed the governorship.
The first lawyers we heard about for Scott Walker were the ones he hired a few months ago regarding the FBI corruption investigation at his previous job as Milwaukee County Supervisor.
From Talking Points Memo of September 16, 2011;
For his part, Walker has not commented publicly on the latest developments, the Associated Press reports — he was out of the state on Thursday, campaigning for Republicans in Kentucky, and his office has declined to comment.
The trouble all began in 2010, when Walker was a candidate for governor. Darlene Wink, his constituent services coordinator in the county, resigned after the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported that she had been using state time to post comments on the paper’s articles, promoting Walker and criticizing his opponents in the gubernatorial race.
For example, one comment criticized Walker’s opponent in the Republican primary, former Congressman Mark Neumann: “Conservatives need to listen to what Neumann is really saying – the true conservative in the race for Governor is Walker.” Wink posted her comments under the handle “RPMCVP” — a reference to her dual position as vice chairwoman of the Milwaukee County Republican Party.
Since her resignation, the investigation has continued very much under the radar. An additional part of the murkiness of the situation is that the investigation is what is known in Wisconsin as a “John Doe” investigation — a secret proceeding in which witnesses can be subpoenaed to testify under oath, but are forbidden from talking publicly about the case.
For more details, here is a video from Sam Seder at Majority Report.
The governor’s office has retained a law firm to represent him in this FBI corruption investigation. Scott Walker and crew better be very careful not to mix the money paid to this firm with the money paid for state business.
From The Journal Sentinel of September 14, 2011;
The governor’s campaign retained former U.S. Attorney Steven Biskupic after it received a subpoena for campaign emails shortly before last year’s November election. His campaign has paid nearly $60,000 to Biskupic’s firm, Michael Best & Friedrich, in the first half of the year.
Now we learn that there is more movement in this on-going investigation.
From Madison Host of December 3. 2011;
Judges can exempt from prosecution witnesses who fear they could be criminally charged themselves. But the appeals judges said that must be done in public, citing a 1974 Supreme Court case that held it “is clear the policy is that the public ought to know who is given immunity from prosecution.”
So far, 11 people have been given immunity, including Walker spokesman Cullen Werwie and Rose Ann Dieck, a Milwaukee County Republican Party official who has raised money for Walker’s campaigns since 2005.
Governor Scott Walker has an almost certain recall election coming and that isn’t the only trouble he is facing. I just wonder what kind of nefarious double dealing will be turned up by the FBI, don’t you? I also wonder just what else might turn up on this guy over time. He doesn’t appear to be he upstanding choir boy he claimed he was.

This needs to get out in a big way. Every voter in Wisconsin needs to know that Walker is under FBI investigation and may not be far away from an indictment. I’ve long hoped that he would go the way of McCarthy, but this could get even worse for him. Another former state Governor in prison? I happen to see things that aren’t and ask Why Not?
I am doing what I can to get the truth out about Walker. I think he is going down, with or without a recall win. The Justice Department is on the prowl for Walker,his elves and his backers.
