Angle Opens Mouth…Again

Republican Senate candidate from Nevada, Sharron Angle, couldn’t bear to let let the headlines be dominated by another wing nut Republican candidate.  Jan Brewer, the Republican candidate for governor of Arizona and a fellow tea bagger of Angles has been center stage since her disastrous debate performance Wednesday evening.

Who knows, maybe Angle thought Brewer was affording her cover so it was safe to make an appearance on a conservative radio show.  As Angle is wont to do she opened her mouth good and wide, inserted her foot, bit down and chewed with vigor.

Too bad that Angle again miscalculated the import of her words.  She again did not realize that as a candidate for Senator running against the Senate Majority Leader no less, her every word is going to be recorded and every action possible video taped.  Even if there is scandal and embarrassment going on in other campaigns, you will still be followed and recorded for the record, Sharron.

This time Sharron Angle, that great Christian of all Christians decided to pontificate on unemployment again.  This woman is a very nasty piece of baggage who wants to foist her version of God and religion on all the rest of the country.  If you doubt that just take a look at her comments about the government trying to be God.  She says you don’t need unemployment or Social Security or help of any kind because the real God will provide for you.  I would guess that is why this God provided so well for people in Somalia, Ethiopia, The Congo, Ireland during the great famines, the United States during the Great depression and Europe during World Wars one and two, just to mention a few.

I don’t want to hear that all the millions who died were sacrificed because they prayed in the wrong way, were heathen or didn’t worship the “true God.”  If God loves all His children as your church preaches, then he has to love them all, no convenient exceptions without a thorough explanation.

Angles radio interview quoted from the Huffington Post.

Sitting down with conservative radio talk show host Heidi Harris, Angle once again addressed a topic that brought her a bit of political heat — including a hard-hitting ad from her opponent Harry Reid– not too long ago.

“People don’t want to be unemployed,” she explained. “They want to have real, full-time, permanent jobs with a future. That’s what they want, and we need to create that climate in Washington, D.C. that encourages businesses to create those full-time, permanent jobs with a future, and all [Rep.] Shelley Berkeley and [Senate Majority Leader] Harry Reid want to do is put a band-aid on this by extending unemployment, which really doesn’t benefit anyone. What happens is of course that your skills stagnate. You become demoralized yourself, you know, feeling that I can’t ever get a job, and these are not the solutions to the problem. We have real solutions, but they won’t look at the real solutions.”

Read the rest here.

Really good Sharron, old girl.  So you want God to provide for these people until you get around to getting new jobs they can have.  But remember you said it wasn’t a Senators job to try to provide jobs for the people of their state.  By that standard which you yourself laid out, since you say Harry Reid hasn’t provided jobs to Nevada then he is doing exactly as you say you would do and is an exemplary Senator.

All the tea bagger darlings and wing nut Republican candidates need to learn to get their facts straight as they see them then stick to them.  We have these pesky recording devices that will play back what you said and if you change that, we have every right to demand and receive an explanation.

If you don’t give that explanation then you look like a person who is not very true to your ideals, if you actually have any ideals to begin with.

Angle TOO Extreme

I will admit I have seen a lot of articles saying Sharron Angle, the Republican tea bagger Senate candidate from Nevada, is too extreme.  I would agree with that wholeheartedly.

I mean, think about it.  Eliminating Social Security is extreme.  Don’t tell me she doesn’t want to do that.  She has said it for five years.  The only reason she flip flops publicly now is handlers from DC who are trying to tone down her extreme image and comments.  Take a look at the screen shots of her website during the primary or watch any number of interviews during that time.  No privatization of Social Security mentioned.  Elimination mentioned yes, privatization no.

Calling those who through no fault of their own, are unemployed spoiled is extreme.

Calling for an end to the Fourteenth Amendment is extreme.

Telling the press in an interview if Congress doesn’t straighten up, people will have to resort to “Second Amendment solutions” is extreme.

Telling a rape or incest victim, no matter how young that they must bear the child of their rapist or relative is extreme.

Wanting to remove the separation between Church and State is extreme.

Telling supporters to “take Harry Reid (your opponent) out” is extreme.

Going all Bachmann and saying there are members of the House and Senate who should be investigated because they are anti-American is extreme.

The list could go on and on but you all get the idea.  These things are what Angle believes.  Myself and others have called them extreme because they are.  But the latest Angle statement brings other descriptive adjectives to mind.  Maybe heartless, cruel, unfeeling, nasty, unchristian, Maoist, Stalinist, cold, elitist, stupid, religious zealot and ignorant come to mind among others that cannot be said in polite company.

I believe Sharron Angle has the right to believe what she wants.  I also believe she has the duty as an American (I’d like to see her birth certificate, please), especially one who is asking for election to high office, to not speak against the Constitution and laws of the United States without grounding her argument in knowledge.  And your God or some other imaginary sky pilot said so just won’t get it.  We don’t base our laws or our lives on religion in this country unless we choose to do so.  That is guaranteed to us in the First Amendment of the same Constitution you would swear to uphold and defend against all enemies both foreign and domestic, if you were elected.

Yes Sharron, w are guaranteed freedom of religion as well as freedom from religion.  That applies to your religion as well as the religion of everyone else.

Angle’s latest dip into the wing nut sauce brings out the fact that she would not have voted for relief for victims of  Hurricane Katrina.  Again heartless and unfeeling come to mind, but especially Unchristian.

From Jon Ralston in the Las Vegas Sun:

I have previously wondered how many Angle tapes are out there to compete with the jobs/Social Security/slush fund/Government is not God classics. I know the answer is: A lot. But I am starting to think there may be one a week (or more) floating around in the cyberspace ether, some of which Angle took off her website after the primary. (But nothing on the Internet is ever really gone, is it?)

Case in point: On today’s fifth anniversary of Katrina, a Democrat supplies a tape of Angle during her 2006 bid for Congress talking about how she would have opposed the $62 billion in relief that only 11 House members opposed (no one in the Senate voted no). The federal version of “41 to Angle,” perhaps.

Read the rest of this article at  http://www.lasvegassun.com/blogs/ralstons-flash/2010/aug/29/angle-2005-i-would-have-voted-no-katrina-relief-fu/

Oh yes Sharron, you have given us a really good idea of where you stand and a really good idea why you lost that bid for Congress in 2006.  You see dear, most people learn from their mistakes and try to educate themselves on history and facts before seeking an office they probably aren’t qualified to hold.  You know, it saves all that pesky embarrassment of looking vapid, silly and dumb before you run through the parking lot.

No amount of botox is going to keep your crypt keepers smile in place through the next two months.

Sharron Angle needs to get a clue. She makes all women look silly, vacuous and stupid.

They Could Be in Charge?

Think about this a minute.  The crazy tea baggers could end up after the election in November with some of their bat guano crazy members actually setting up camp in DC as Senators or House members and residing in the governors mansion of a state or two.

I can’t speak for anyone else, but I do not want to see Christian Conservative Republican wing nuts even elected dog catcher.  Let alone having their hands on a steering wheel.  Thought the Bush gang tried to drive us over a cliff?  These crazies that are now running want to go back to his administrations policies and then some.

If you listen, you will hear a constant and eerily similar set of goals coming from these people.  To say the least, it isn’t in the best interests of the everyday people of this country.  However corporations and the very wealthy will love it.

It may actually be easier to list the departments of government they don’t want to do away with. Department of Education?  Get rid of it.  Social Security, Medicare and Unemployment Benefits?  Get rid of them.  Dump all regulations on business.  FDA, EPA,EEOC?  Gone, gone, gone.  Separation of Church and State?  Yeah, throw that out.  We can dictate your religion.

I realize they won’t have the numbers to accomplish their goals, even if they won every office they have a candidate running for.  But remember, their goals have been the goals of the Republican Party since Saint Ronnie was in office and those self same Republicans will buy into their agenda and vote with them.  So let’s say they don’t have the numbers…..yet.

These people scare me from only one perspective.  They are so stupid.  They throw the word Fascist around a lot and they don’t realize the Republican Party is very Fascist, indeed.  Here is how Fascism works as defined by Wikipedia:

Fascists seek to organize a nation according to corporatist perspectives, values, and systems, including the political system and the economy.

Sound familiar?  It should, you have been hearing about it in one form or another since Reagan.  Let the corporations rule.  The bottom line is more important than people ever could be.

If you want to get a perspective of what life under the reign of the tea baggers would be like read some novels by Charles Dickens.  Child labor, debtors prisons, corporate run police departments, fire departments and prisons.  Ah yes, the good old days!

I am going to do my best to see these people go home to their own residences after the November election.  Like Alan Simpson, I don’t want to pay for the cow tit they would be sucking off of.

To prevent the election of these crazy loons we all must work to defeat them and get out the vote for our side.  They are crazy and really, really don’t deserve the public trust.

The video below will help bring the point home.

Are pigs flying?

Harry Reid’s New Ad

Posted under Elections,National Happenings,Right Wing Nuttery,Senate,Video by brian on Friday 27 August 2010 at 5:01 pm

Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada has certainly put up some good and hard hitting ads against his tea bagger Republican opposition Sharron Angle.

The latest of these ads call Angle out again with her own words and her on the record statements.  Angle has been so prolific at putting her far right wing nut, Christian Conservative  opinions on the record that the Harry Reid advertising team doesn’t have to look very hard to find pure campaign commercial gold to use against her.  Angle definitely makes the job of making campaign commercials easier and it could be said she is a gift that just keeps on giving.

Here is the latest from the Reid campaign.

Tuesday Primaries—Again

Posted under Elections,House,Local,National Happenings,Press Follies,Senate,State,Video by brian on Tuesday 24 August 2010 at 5:44 pm

During the lead up to the elections every two years we have a whole series of primaries.  They are held on Tuesdays and sometimes it seems like primary season goes on and on and on.  Perhaps it seems that way because it is that way, the season is very long.  However, I don’t hold much hope of bringing all the primaries under one set of rules and election dates.  It just isn’t going to happen.

As you all should be aware, Today is a Tuesday in an election year.  That means today we have primaries.  The players today will be Alaska, Arizona, Florida and Vermont.  We also have a run off to decide the winners in Oklahoma that for some reason couldn’t be decided when that state had its primary.

Will we see a continuance of incumbents being defeated in record numbers?  What record numbers, you say?  The vast majority of incumbents are winning, you say?  My answer to you is…..exactly.

The press has to have something to talk about and speculate about.  Otherwise they wouldn’t be paid those ginormous amounts of money for their opinions.  So even if they make it up, it seems the only choice we have is to humor them.

It doesn’t seem to matter if you watch Fox or not, all the media has picked up the phantom incumbents are out story.  Republican, Democratic, conservative, liberal doesn’t matter.  If you are an incumbent, you’re toast.

But that isn’t the truth, you say?  My answer to you is…shush up and let’s enjoy the show cause they are going to keep saying it anyway.

Watch the video below and get a real perspective on the truth in this primary season from the best of the press Rachel Maddow.

Angle is Completely Nuts

Posted under Elections,Hypocrisy,National Happenings,Religion,Right Wing Nuttery,Senate by admin on Thursday 19 August 2010 at 2:04 pm

By BobbiV

I have lived in Nevada for almost four years so I have to admit I am not as familiar with the politics and political players of this state as I was with the California political scene.  After over twenty year in California, I felt I at least had an idea of who the key people were and who the so called up and comers seemed to be.

Nevada has a much smaller playing field and I feel I am now getting a handle on who is who.  As far as the tea bagger darling and Republican candidate for Senate, Sharron Angle my reactions i completely visceral.  I don’t like her, I don’t like the way she tries to foist her religion on others and I sure don’t want to see such a loose cannon religious nut in the position of United States Senator.

In my view, Angle should take her own advice and stay at home to be a good wife and mother.  However, this type rarely does what they advise.  It is all do as I say and not as I do with them.

As I said, I feel I am at least getting to recognize who is who in Nevada politics.  But I lack knowledge of their individual histories.  After finding out a little more about Angle, I will stick to my gut reaction when first laying eyes on her.  Red flags went off for me then and they are still flying high.  Angle has done nothing to change my mind and has in fact, reinforced my first impression.

Now I find that Angle has been the crazy cog in the wheel of politics in this state for most of her history.  She was a member of the Nye County School Board in the early 1990′s and made an objection about the football team from Tonopah wearing black jerseys to play in a game against Laughlin, a team that had beaten them previously.

The Tonopah coach was handing out the jerseys for this special game to psyche up the team.  But according to Angle the color black invoked evil and was maybe even Satanic.

You can read the story of this wing nut and her obsession with black jerseys at Care2 here.

As an after thought, I want Sharron Angle to know that the Tonopah High School is right up the hill from where I live.  I can see it from my bedroom window.  Although I have never noticed any Satanic practices going on up the hill, I do hear their band whenever they go out on the grounds to practice.  There are a lot of drums – could that be heathenist?  Oh, they also have a big bonfire once a year.  Maybe that is Satanic?  :(

I’m not sure if black made any difference to the team.  However, I can tell you that the Tonopah Muckers* football team has been to a few state championships since Angle’s time on the school board.  Who knows, maybe her departure allowed enough thought and fresh air in to push the team on to victory when they won their first state championship.  Whatever, this woman is an idiot and does not belong in the Senate or on a school board.

And, by the way, Didn’t your God supposedly create the dark as well as the light?  So, is He or She evil too?  Sharron, you make me too confused to take you seriously.

*Yes, the teams of Tonopah High School are all the Muckers.  Want to make something of it???????

Our little Nevada town called Tonopah. Go Muckers!

Sharron Angle is Scary!!

Posted under Elections,National Happenings,Senate by brian on Tuesday 17 August 2010 at 5:36 pm

Republican Senate candidate from Nevada Sharron Angle is a scary individual.  She is also an idiot.  Or, she thinks Nevadans are too stupid to remember what she said before and what she is saying now.  Either way, she is scary and I don’t want to see her elected to be a Senator.

I want her to pack her religion in her suitcase and go back under whatever rock she crawled out from …..and stay there.  I don’t need her kind, the Senate doesn’t need her kind and Nevada for sure doesn’t need her kind.  We have an over abundance of religious zealots here already and yes, most of them seem to be idiots.

Following is the latest campaign ad from Democratic Senator Harry Reid’s campaign.  It is a short but good ad that gets right to the heart of the matter.

After watching Angle in this ad, I finally figured out why her smile seems so creepy.  It is the same smile you see on morticians….or crypt keepers.  Botox, anyone?

I know Sharron , why don’t you move to Alaska and live with the other religious nutcase and her unwed daughter?  You would fit right in there.

Angle Hearts Bachmann

Posted under Elections,House,National Happenings,Right Wing Nuttery,Senate,Video by brian on Sunday 15 August 2010 at 3:01 pm

I hesitated putting this video up on this site because I wasn’t really sure what would happen when you put so much of the crazy in one small post.  But then I looked and saw tea bagger and wing nut sites seem to be moving along.  So I decided the risk was worth it.

I didn’t think you could get a better illustration of tea bagger wing nut crazy than Republican House member Michele Bachmann from Minnesota.  Then along came the Republican Senate candidate from Nevada, Sharron Angle.

Separately these women are hard to take.  Together they make the logical, reality based side of your brain bleed.  So watch this video very carefully and have aspirin close by for the headache afterward.

After that, there is only one thing to say Arghhhhhhh.
