Jan Brewer – Professional Idiot

This is the last post I will write about Arizona Republican candidate for governor, Jan Brewer.

I do not like this woman…period.  She has proven herself to be a bigot, a racist and for sure a liar.  We have enough of these empty suits on both the Democratic and especially the Republican side in our government already.  The idea is to get them out of politics not keep nominating them and then electing them into office.

Come on tea baggers and wing nuts out there.  I thought you guys were mad and wanted to “take our country back.”  If that is really the case then why are you backing the same old, same old around the country?  If you are tired of being led on by politicians and lied to, then why elect a proven liar as a governor?  If you really aren’t racists like you keep claiming, then why follow racist leaders?  Why keep falling for it? Did the Bush/Cheney administration teach you nothing?  Or are you all masochists, so addicted to the pain these people inflict that you can’t break free and think for yourself?

Following is the video of Jan Brewer talking to a local news show about bodies in the desert.  She lied, she did it knowing she was doing it and if she thought it would further whatever her objectives are, she would do it without hesitation again and again and again.  Would you allow one of your kids or grand kids to tell bald faced lies like this without any repercussions or punishment?  Or would you reward them for their lies and thereby enable them to lie more without conscience?

A vote for Brewer is exactly that, It is enabling and rewarding her bad behavior.  It also encourages other politicians to go right ahead and lie to the people they are supposed to serve.  Why not, there is no penalty to be paid for it and lies can get you so much further!

You watch the video and decide for yourselves. Listen closely, she says it is wrong that you cannot have faith in elected officials. She must mean wrong for all but her.

Now there is a new ad up from her Democratic opponent, Terry Goddard.  I don’t know if it is only on the net or if it will be running on local television, but every Arizona voter should see it and really pay attention.

This is going to be up to the voters of Arizona.  If they elect this corrupt liar as their governor then thry deserve her.  But don’t let your taint get beyond your borders into the neighboring states.

It is believed this squirrel got this color from digging in John Boehners trash or he was shot in a drive by tanning by the Minority Leader of the House. He has been named Boner by the animal hospital that treated him.

That Crazy Jan

Posted under Elections,Hypocrisy,Immigration,National Happenings,Right Wing Nuttery,State by brian on Friday 3 September 2010 at 4:50 pm

By now I am sure you have all seen the embarrassing video footage of the Arizona governors debate.  Embarrassing for Jan Brewer that is, not so much for the other candidates.  It is no surprise that less than 24 hours after that debate ended Jan Brewer announced she would not be participating in any further debates.  Wonder why she would do that?

While many in the media are reporting this as a debacle for Gov. Brewer I feel they are taking it rather easy on her.  They are describing her as unprepared, forgetful or unfocused.  To me she appeared stupid, demented, possibly insane or (dare I risk the wrath of Palin) retarded.

During her opening statement Gov. Brewer tried to talk about how much she had helped the state of Arizona and how glorious her reign has been.  That was between the long silences and her giggle fits.  Was she laughing because even she could see how ludicrous her own statements were?  Or was she pausing to listen to the voices in her head and giggling at what they had to say?

With her blank stare, mental ward escapee smile and inability to answer the simplest of questions during the debate, Gov. Brewer displayed her total lack of mental prowess.  She refused to respond in any way to any claim she has made in the past and tried to turn the unions and the candidate they support into the bad guys.

In an interview with CNN’s John King even the top law dog in Arizona, Maricopa county Sheriff Joe Arpaio, (himself under federal investigation)  backpedaled away from Gov. Brewers more racist, inflammatory and unprovable ‘facts’.  Jan Brewer has stated on more than one occasion that because of illegal Mexican drug mules in her state,  headless bodies have been found scattered around the Arizona desert.

After pussyfooting around the question with statements like “I have no political agenda so cannot comment on the Governors statements” and “Well Canada the United States and Mexico are all part of North America and I know headless bodies have been found in Mexico” he finally was forced to admit that he was not aware of any headless bodies found in his county.  In this Sheriff Arpaio is not alone.  Not one county Sheriffs office or coroners department in the entire state is aware of a single headless body found in the state of Arizona.

To hear Jan Brewer tell it her states law enforcement agencies should have headless bodies stacked up around the sheriffs office like cord wood.  The sands of her great state should be stained with rivers of blood from all the headless drug running Mexicans.  Is it any wonder that with no proof whatsoever Gov. Brewer avoids answering questions about her claims at all cost?

There is however, a possible explanation to her insistence that there are the bodies of headless Mexicans yet to be found scattered around her state.  Could it just be possible that she is the only person that knows where these headless bodies are because….wait for it…. she is the one that beheaded them in the first place?  Is she  just waiting for her law enforcement community to find them so she can prove how dangerous Mexicans really are?  It was the voices in her head that told her to do it, so she would be innocent of the crime due to mental incompetence.  All the proof she needs for her defense is on video tape from the Governors debate!  That tape of her is mental incompetence writ large for all the world to see.

Recently Gov. Brewers motives on many issues have come into question due to her close ties with privately owned prisons in her state.  While claiming tens of thousands of arrests of illegal immigrants in Arizona ICE is saying nowhere near that number has been turned over to them.  Needless to say ICE is wondering just where all these detainees are.  Either as in the case of the headless bodies Gov. Brewer is just making things up or she is violating the law by holding detainees in her close friends privately owned prisons at her state taxpayers expense.

Gov. Brewer obviously does not like people looking into her statements or asking her any questions she has no canned, rehearsed or memorized statement with which to answer.  She canceled her advertising with the local television station  that dug too deeply into her double dealing and that of her close aides, claiming that old favorite of the wing nut tea baggers “unfair reporting practices”.

After the debate Gov. Brewer showed off her stupidity once more, just for good measure.  When asked by reporters about her insane claims of the numerous headless bodies in Arizona that crazy Jan tried to give a canned and memorized answer yet again, but on another subject.  When her tiny little brain figured out that the reporters would not accept her diversionary tactic and would press her on the headless bodies she got that thousand mile stare again, listened to the voices in her head, put on her nut house smile, said “thank you for coming” and then pulled a Sharon Angle and ran as fast as she could from the question and the cameras!

Weather insane, stupid or retarded or a combination thereof a few things are obvious about Jan Brewer.

First, she is obviously a liar.  Next, she is a racist.  After that it now appears she may be corrupt as well (a corrupt Republican…NO!…go figure!) She is a little temper tantrum drama queen like so many of her peers and can not tolerate being questioned.  She expects her words to be taken as gospel, not at face value and never questioned.

Last and most important, Jan Brewer is not qualified to lead a high school marching band let alone one of the great states in our nation.

What is it about Republican women.  They all try to look so good but they are all either very slow mentally or so into themselves that they understand nothing of the world outside their created reality.    Soon, no amount of cream is going to cover the sagging flesh on these two dear friends.  And yes, I meant to use the word Retard.  But it is directed toward these two ‘women’ , not their families or anyone else, period.

It just seems that Republicans are interchangeable, no matter their sex, state or lies.  I give you the picture below as proof.  See what I mean

Boehner and Palin interchanged. Or maybe not. Eweeeeee!

Jan Brewer Hits the Wall-HARD

Last Night there was a Gubernatorial debate in Arizona between the anti immigration Republican candidate Jan Brewer and the Democratic nominee Terry Goddard.  To say it was a bad night for Brewer would be at the very least an understatement.

She had lapses as long as ten seconds (an eternity of dead air on live television) when apparently her train of thought derailed.  She seemed ill at ease, unprepared and unable to concentrate.

But that was all during her opening statement.  The video below shows her bad start to the evening.

Wow….OUCH!!

The evening got worse for Jan Brewer, much worse.  The tea party darling with her Draconian immigration bill was slow on the uptake and appeared not to be able to answer any off the cuff questions.  If there was any shift from her prepared talking points she froze like a deer in the headlights then would suddenly come back to reality by mouthing another talking point.

Democratic nominee Terry Goddard on the other hand seemed relaxed, responsive and genuinely interested in what is best for the State of Arizona and all its citizens.  He personally asked a question of Brewer about her claim that headless corpses were being found in the desert area of the state, an allegation that proved to be made of whole cloth.  Brewer dodged the question and of course, went back to a talking point.

But after the debate, the Governor didn’t fare so well when confronted by the press.  The video below will let you see her full out stupidity when dealing with this issue.

That is even more revealing and embarrassing for the candidate than the memory lapses during her opening statement.

Is Brewer just an idiot, a false front candidate for other interests, or is she just unable to state her real opinions and answers on anything?

In case you weren’t aware, Gov. Jan Brewer is involved in a wee bit of a scandal that has been dug out by some great local CBS investigative reporting.  Perhaps she is distracted by this mess which of course has to do with money and illegal immigration.  The video below will start to fill you in on this developing scandal.

So there you have it.  The first debate between candidates for governor in Arizona and the first wing nut blood is drawn and in fact, floods the room.  Want to make any bets on further debates?  Want to make any bets on how the press starts to go after Brewer?

There is plenty of blood in the water and the media will do their level best to grab viewers by exposing more shady connections and tearing more flesh off Brewer’s skinny frame.

Start popping the corn, this election season is going to be really interesting.  Politics is so much fun to watch, especially when they fall on their faces by tripping on their own lies.

They Could Be in Charge?

Think about this a minute.  The crazy tea baggers could end up after the election in November with some of their bat guano crazy members actually setting up camp in DC as Senators or House members and residing in the governors mansion of a state or two.

I can’t speak for anyone else, but I do not want to see Christian Conservative Republican wing nuts even elected dog catcher.  Let alone having their hands on a steering wheel.  Thought the Bush gang tried to drive us over a cliff?  These crazies that are now running want to go back to his administrations policies and then some.

If you listen, you will hear a constant and eerily similar set of goals coming from these people.  To say the least, it isn’t in the best interests of the everyday people of this country.  However corporations and the very wealthy will love it.

It may actually be easier to list the departments of government they don’t want to do away with. Department of Education?  Get rid of it.  Social Security, Medicare and Unemployment Benefits?  Get rid of them.  Dump all regulations on business.  FDA, EPA,EEOC?  Gone, gone, gone.  Separation of Church and State?  Yeah, throw that out.  We can dictate your religion.

I realize they won’t have the numbers to accomplish their goals, even if they won every office they have a candidate running for.  But remember, their goals have been the goals of the Republican Party since Saint Ronnie was in office and those self same Republicans will buy into their agenda and vote with them.  So let’s say they don’t have the numbers…..yet.

These people scare me from only one perspective.  They are so stupid.  They throw the word Fascist around a lot and they don’t realize the Republican Party is very Fascist, indeed.  Here is how Fascism works as defined by Wikipedia:

Fascists seek to organize a nation according to corporatist perspectives, values, and systems, including the political system and the economy.

Sound familiar?  It should, you have been hearing about it in one form or another since Reagan.  Let the corporations rule.  The bottom line is more important than people ever could be.

If you want to get a perspective of what life under the reign of the tea baggers would be like read some novels by Charles Dickens.  Child labor, debtors prisons, corporate run police departments, fire departments and prisons.  Ah yes, the good old days!

I am going to do my best to see these people go home to their own residences after the November election.  Like Alan Simpson, I don’t want to pay for the cow tit they would be sucking off of.

To prevent the election of these crazy loons we all must work to defeat them and get out the vote for our side.  They are crazy and really, really don’t deserve the public trust.

The video below will help bring the point home.

Are pigs flying?

Tuesday Primaries—Again

Posted under Elections,House,Local,National Happenings,Press Follies,Senate,State,Video by brian on Tuesday 24 August 2010 at 5:44 pm

During the lead up to the elections every two years we have a whole series of primaries.  They are held on Tuesdays and sometimes it seems like primary season goes on and on and on.  Perhaps it seems that way because it is that way, the season is very long.  However, I don’t hold much hope of bringing all the primaries under one set of rules and election dates.  It just isn’t going to happen.

As you all should be aware, Today is a Tuesday in an election year.  That means today we have primaries.  The players today will be Alaska, Arizona, Florida and Vermont.  We also have a run off to decide the winners in Oklahoma that for some reason couldn’t be decided when that state had its primary.

Will we see a continuance of incumbents being defeated in record numbers?  What record numbers, you say?  The vast majority of incumbents are winning, you say?  My answer to you is…..exactly.

The press has to have something to talk about and speculate about.  Otherwise they wouldn’t be paid those ginormous amounts of money for their opinions.  So even if they make it up, it seems the only choice we have is to humor them.

It doesn’t seem to matter if you watch Fox or not, all the media has picked up the phantom incumbents are out story.  Republican, Democratic, conservative, liberal doesn’t matter.  If you are an incumbent, you’re toast.

But that isn’t the truth, you say?  My answer to you is…shush up and let’s enjoy the show cause they are going to keep saying it anyway.

Watch the video below and get a real perspective on the truth in this primary season from the best of the press Rachel Maddow.

From Welfare to Prison?

Posted under Elections,Right Wing Nuttery,State by brian on Sunday 22 August 2010 at 4:15 pm

That seems to be the plan if New York candidate for governor Carl Paladino wins in November.  He is calling to consolidate the already overcrowded New York prison facilities and convert some of them into dorms for the homeless and those on welfare.

His plan sounds ambitious and on the surface has many good points.  Sadly, like so many Republican plans, if you dig just an inch below that surface you run into layer upon layer of problems.

Paladino’s  plan calls not just for the conversion of the prisons but stipulates that prison guards will keep their jobs by being retrained as counselors.  Classes in personal hygiene and physical fitness would be offered as well.  Job retraining would consist of working on state, county and city projects or jobs like working for the parks department.  Residency in these dorms would of course be voluntary.

As I said, on the surface it sounds like it might be a good Idea.  It could offer a safe living environment for families who have or are about to loose their homes.  It could offer training in competitive jobs and it could offer educational programs.

It could also create a whole host of problems, none of which Paladino has addressed.

Mr. Paladino has promised a 20% percent reduction of the state budget and 10% decrease in the state income tax but has offered no options whatsoever on how his state would fund this ambitious plan.  He has presented no cost projections,  nor has he even speculated on what state agency would run the program.  So how will he convert the prisons?  Could it be as simple as removing the locks from the cell doors?

Next I would ask exactly what job retraining he is offering?  State projects and working for the parks department.  Sounds impressive depending on what your job is.  Digging ditches, clearing vacant lots, trimming bushes and picking up trash are not exactly what I would call highly skilled jobs.  Are they jobs(?), yes,are they skilled labor(?), no.

What, if anything will you be paying these people for their work?  Will they be state employees with the benefits that come along with working for the state?  Will they be paying rent out of their pay or will they work in exchange for the place they are living and the food they eat?  If  they are employees, where will you find the additional funding for all these new state workers?  If they are exchange labor, how will they ever save the funds to one day leave your prison dorm?

What classes will you be offering aside from those you learned while training troops for the military?  Yes, personal hygiene and physical fitness are good things but still will not give you a leg up in seeking a better job or home.

Mr. Paladino is making these dorms sound like apartment buildings complete with pools and basketball courts.  A regular family living situation.  Does this mean that the homeless who are mentally ill or drug addicts will not be welcome or are you planning a separate facility in which to house them?  Will men and women live together or will you separate families from each other in favor of same sex dorms?  How will the local schools be able to handle the sudden influx of all the new children attending from the families in the dorms?  Will you bus the kids for several hours everyday so they attend the same schools they are in now?  Who will cover the cost increase in the states education system?

Will you include military veterans in your program.  I am sure that you are aware that the military is reclassifying many returning vets suffering from PTSD as having enlisted with a pre-existing mental disorder.  Thus the military is denying them counseling and many are ending up on the streets.  Will the state of New York allow them into your program and provide the help these vets need to make a successful transition back to civilian life?  If so I applaud you, but I fear you would not be able to afford it.

Then there is the issue of those already in your state prison system.  Consolidation means making your prison system smaller.  Will you force more prisoners to live in already overcrowded facilities or will you release a number of them?  Or once you are governor will you simply pardon all the white collar criminals that donated in the past to the GOP?

I am sorry sir, but until you answer these questions and more you have only a talking point.  At best you are taking the BP approach to the homeless, get them out of sight like the oil in the gulf.  At worst, you would be creating a virtual slave labor pool for your state and unless you forgot your history you know that that is not allowed under our laws.

BP = Ballot Poison

Posted under Elections,House,Local,National Happenings,Senate,State, environment by brian on Thursday 17 June 2010 at 6:48 pm

There is a movement afoot that asks voters to not vote for candidates who receive campaign contributions from BP.  Actually, it goes even farther by saying they will not vote for a politician whose party receives donations from BP unless the politician refuses money from that party.

This is bad news for some politicians, especially some from Texas and the Gulf States.  It could drive them to reconsider their politics and their stands on issues.  It would affect both the Republican and Democratic Party because each receive money from BP as well as other big oil corporations.

Following is the last part of the petition.

THEREFORE, we pledge to BOYCOTT any vote we may have otherwise cast for any candidate for any office who receives campaign funding from BP plc or any subsidiary thereof, or any candidate who has previously received funding from BP and fails to return the unused portion, upon receipt of this petition. If any candidates do receive campaign funding from BP plc or its subsidiaries, we pledge to VOTE for a competing candidate who has not received funding from BP, WRITE IN a candidate of our choosing who has not received funding from BP, VOTE FOR NONE OF THE ABOVE, or ABSTAIN FROM VOTING in protest.

In the case of a POLITICAL PARTY receiving general funding from BP plc, we pledge not to vote for candidates affiliated with this party unless they do not accept funding from their party’s national committee.

You can read the rest of the petition and sign it if you wish at the link below.

Petition: http://www.petitiononline.com/bp2010/petition.html

Now, let’s just see who does the right thing for the voters and for the environment.

I would love to be a fly on the wall and see the look on the faces of the Congress critters when they receive a copy of this petition.  Bet they will turn a little green—just like the swamp frass that once lined the Gulf Coast.

Taitz Running in California?

Posted under Elections,National Happenings,Right Wing Nuttery,State by admin on Wednesday 10 March 2010 at 5:51 pm

Guess what?  It looks like the birther queen Orly Taitz is trying to get on the California ballot to run as the Republican candidate for Secretary of State.  If nothing else, this should be fun to watch.

This woman is an insane conservative wingnut.  I wouldn’t think she has a chance at all, but I didn’t think Arnold would win a recall either, let alone get elected  again.  By the way, hows that working out for you California?

From Science Blogs;

It looks as though God is going to answer my prayers and Orly Taitz is going to run for Secretary of State in California. The OC Weekly reports:

Lately, the Laguna Niguel dentist who loves suing Obama has been rallying her supporters to help her win the Republican nomination for California Secretary of State. One problem: There’s already a Republican who has been running for a few months now. His name is Damon Dunn, he’s from Irvine, and Taitz doesn’t like him.

Well of course she doesn’t like him; he’s not a birther. She says of him:

The only reason he was endorsed so far, is because he is an African American, and Republicans want to have an African American to show diversity. He admits to having no knowledge or experience with law, elections or election law.As opposed to Taitz’ vast experience with election law, which is non-existent?

Read the rest here.

The truth is Orly could do one huge amount of damage to California.  I hope she gets no where near the halls of government.

Another birther wingnut and, Orly Taitz.
